Suzuki has unveiled its 2023 model update Swace, a stylish and versatile mid-sized estate offering drivers excellent efficiency, space and versatility combined with dynamic styling.
Significant changes to the engine and hybrid system bring improved performance and driveability with the combined power output increasing 15% from 122hp to 140hp and acceleration time reduced by 1.7s to 9.4s.
For 2023, standard specification is even higher – the new Motion grade includes 8″ touchscreen system featuring wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto and rear parking camera, heated front seats and heated steering wheel, type C USB port, dynamic radar cruise control, emergency driving stop system, seven airbags, LED rear lamps plus dual-zone automatic air conditioning.

Suzuki launches full hybrid version of popular Vitara

The Suzuki Vitara is now available with full hybrid technology that helps lower CO2 emissions and improves fuel consumption even further than the current mild hybrid with automatic transmission.
Full hybrid technology
The system consists of a 140V lithium-ion battery and inverter, Motor Generator Unit (MGU), a 12V lithium-ion battery and a conventional 12V lead-acid battery to power components requiring lower voltage such as lights, instruments, heating and air-conditioning.
Selectable hybrid modes
The new hybrid system has two switchable modes – Eco and Standard – which enables the driver to change between the two modes depending on conditions and increases the frequency of EV driving.
MGU
The MGU acts as a generator and starter motor and assists the petrol engine during vehicle take off. The high-performance lithium-ion battery stores electrical energy recovered from deceleration and braking and incorporates an idle stop function operated via the integrated starter generator. Based on engine speed and throttle position, the engine ECU judges when the driver will accelerate then uses the electric motor to add additional torque.
The hybrid system collects kinetic energy and generates electricity by stopping the engine and disengaging the clutch during deceleration, which increases the EV driving range. As a full hybrid, the Vitara can run solely on its electric motor for short distances.
Transmission
The Vitara full hybrid comes equipped with Auto Gear Shift (AGS) that automatically shifts the manual transmission and gear ratios to help provide a good combination of performance and fuel economy. AGS enables the driver to enjoy both the direct driving experience of a manual gearbox and the shifting ease of an automatic transmission. The transmission also has a manual mode with steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles.
One notable feature of the latest hybrid system with AGS is the position of the MGU on the output side of the transmission assembly. As a result, power from the MGU is directly transmitted to the driveshafts to fill the torque gap during shifting and provides a smoother transition from the transmission.
CO2 emissions
Thanks to full hybrid technology, high tensile steel and other weight-saving measures in the body, Vitara’s CO2 emissions are low (121g/km) with an impressive combined fuel economy of 53mpg.
ALLGRIP 4-wheel drive
Suzuki’s ALLGRIP 4-wheel drive system is available as an option on the SZ5 model and incorporates four selectable drive modes – Auto, Sport, Snow and Lock – for safe, enjoyable driving on diverse surfaces.
Specification highlights
Standard equipment is comprehensive with the entry-level SZ-T model featuring: auto air conditioning, front and rear electric windows, keyless entry and start, 17″ silver alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, rear parking camera and satellite navigation. Moving up to the top-spec SZ5 adds 17″ polished alloy wheels, suede seat upholstery, panoramic sunroof, front and rear parking sensors and the availability of ALLGRIP 4WD as an option.
A high level of safety specification comes as standard including, LED multi-reflector headlamps with low and high beam, dual sensor brake support (automated emergency braking), blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control and seven airbags.

Tracks Suzuki is quite honestly the best dealership I have ever set foot in. I purchased a Swift SZ3 from Tracks in July 2021, after being intrigued by some of my family members, who, at one point, had *four* Suzuki’s on their driveway!Since then, I’ve honestly never looked back. I have sadly dealt with various car garages who have proven to not be overly trust worthy, or have your best interests at heart. However, thanks to Tracks, they have completely and undeniably restored my faith in car dealerships.As of February this year, 2024, I returned to Tracks to seek my next vehicle. After experiencing an amazing customer service over the last two years, Tracks was my first choice. And, of course, they did not disappoint. The service plans at Tracks are so affordable, and yet seem to have a variety of options and lengthy cover for all aspects of your vehicle. It takes the stress out of potentially paying large, one off payments. The team go above and beyond to help you with anything you need, as well as being incredibly warm, friendly, and approachable people.I would like to express my particular gratitude to Anita and Dave on the Aftersales team. They are both an absolute pleasure to work with, and can’t do enough for you should there ever be any circumstances or issues that might be tricky to work around.Lastly, a big thank you to Jack, on the Sales team, who has just sold me my beautiful SX4 S-Cross. I came to Jack with a rather picky list of criteria for my next car, and without shadow of a doubt, Jack exceeded all of my expectations. Not just the spec, or the car itself, but consideration of the price range, after care, and any requirements for an effortless handover. Jack always made himself available to me, whenever I needed to ask a question or seek his support. And everytime, he was so reassuring, kind, helpful, and generally just made this whole process nothing but genuinely enjoyable, fun, and effortless. This is by far the best way I could ever imagine buying a car.I love Tracks Suzuki. It’s the best place, and I will always be its no.1 supporter! Just bought a Suzuki Vitara from Tracks Suzuki! What a pleasurable experience. Came up looking at one car, which wasn’t to my liking, however was quickly shown something more to my taste. After looking around at different garages, I retuned to Tracks as their customer service was perfect, they were keen to help me is every way possible and kept in contact whilst I was making my decision without being overbearing. I have collected my car today, which was to an impeccable standard, brand new MOT and service. Whilst looking for my next car, I found it difficult narrowing down my options. TracksCare is a great service/care plan for my Swift - it’s affordable, the service is great, it covers a lifetime warranty on your vehicle, and you can’t get much better than that. Free labour, discounted parts, and a complimentary coffee and valet too! (Made me feel better when I had to drop my car off first thing on an early morning!) 😉
The team are great and are always happy to help - they’re very accommodating and deal with you in a very professional and friendly approach. I would love to name a few people in particular but I wouldn’t want to be unfair to the rest of the team and therefore I think my appreciation must go towards the whole of Tracks itself, as I’m yet to come across a single person who doesn’t carry that great work ethic. I purchased my Swift from Taunton and now go to the Exeter dealership due to it being more local and both places are equally as great to work with.
