The Ignis combines a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine with mild hybrid technology, offering powerful response and outstanding fuel economy. The lightweight and compact self-charging hybrid system assists the engine by converting kinetic energy generated during decelaration into electric energy, helping to reduce CO2 emissions and improve fuel economy. Adventurous capabilities
The ALLGRIP Auto 4-wheel drive option available with manual Ignis SZ5 models gives you peace of mind in difficult driving conditions like slippery surfaces or rough terrain. With its viscous coupling 4WD system, torque is automatically distributed to the rear wheels when the front wheels lose traction. Ignis ALLGRIP models also feature Grip Control technology that ensures a smooth start on slippery surfaces and Hill Descent Control which intelligently restricts the vehicle speed and automatically applies the brakes on steep inclines. Safety
You’re in safe hands
The Ignis is full of clever technology to help keep you safe while behind the wheel, including Brake Assist, ESP (electronic stability program) and Hill Hold control as standard. Other safety features include Dual Camera Brake Support (DCBS) on SZ5 models, which uses two cameras like human eyes to recognise other vehicles and pedestrians and help avoid and mitigate collision damage through warnings and automatic braking.
Lane departure warning
When departing a lane without using the turn signal, a steering-wheel vibration and warning light on the meter panel alerts the driver to lane departures caused by inattention to the road.
Weaving alert
If the vehicle is weaving from side to side within the lane, a buzzer and warning light on the meter panel draws the driver’s attention to weaving caused by drowsiness or other factors.
